About Kelvin Giormani
In 1999, Kelvin leveraged his expertise to found the Giormani brand in Hong Kong, Giormani has since swiftly established itself as one of Asia’s leading sofa-making and retail brands – with a reputation for high-quality and striking designs, along with the flexibility to adjust the ergonomics and aesthetics of its seating products to suit both Asian and European tastes. In 2007, Kelvin was named one of Hong Kong’s top 40 designers under 40 years old by the leading interior design magazine PERSPECTIVE.
Kelvin now spearheads Giormani’s talented design team in Hong Kong and China. His design philosophy is an understated “European modern minimalism” inspired by nature and concepts of modern living that infuse his designs with both a contemporary feel and innovative touches. Such “defining details” as he calls them, aim to give a twist of individuality to every one of his sofas and armchairs, while emphasizing comfort and reliability. He is inspired by a desire to see his creations become “The Heart of Every Home”.
Kelvin’s creativity is nourished by his corporate leadership of Giormani; from supply chain management to retailing and marketing in numerous overseas markets. Such insights into global lifestyle trends and consumer tastes allow Kelvin to continually refine and evolve his sofa design to meet the needs of the shifting marketplace in the East and West.
Well-known European and Japanese sofa manufacturers such as Cierre, Weco and Kosuga have used Kelvin’s designs as part of product lines marketed the world over. His stylish leather sofas have also been showcased in major international furniture fairs including Cologne, Milan Coburg in Europe; High Point in the U.S. and top China trade fairs in Shanghai and Dongguan.
